Probative vs AI award writing tools

There are a small number of purpose-built AI tools for award entries. They are real products, they are improving and on one specific thing all of them make the same choice.

They work from a form

Every product in this category collects your achievements through a structured intake and then organises and sharpens what you typed. One of them states it plainly in its own FAQ: you provide the information about your business and achievements, and the tool structures and refines that information.

That is a legitimate design. It is also the reason none of them can verify anything, because a system that has only ever seen a form has nothing to check the form against.

A tool that never reads a document cannot tell you which claim is unsupported.

Verification is handed back to you

This is not our characterisation of them. It is what they publish. One tells users plainly that all AI can make mistakes so it is important to cross check responses. Another assigns evidence verification and accuracy to the agency using the tool rather than to the tool.

So the checking, which is the part you are least equipped to do and most anxious about, remains entirely yours.

Where they beat us

They are cheaper. Several cover global programmes we do not touch. If your material genuinely does not exist in written form, a guided form is the honest answer and you should use one.

The distinction that matters most

Where gap analysis exists in this category at all, it answers the question which required fields have you left empty. Ours answers which of your claims cannot be backed up. Those are adjacent questions and only the second one is what a judge is asking.

Start with two answers.

Send an award you are actually entering and whatever project material you already have. You get two complete answers, the case we would make, the questions we would send your team and the claims that one more fact would unlock.
